Is there transportation from Mount Washington Alpine Resort to Courtenay?
Yes. Mount Washington Alpine Resort offers a small shuttle service to and from Courtenay.
Guests should contact the Alpine Lodge directly for current schedules and availability.
Is there a grocery store near the Mount Washington Alpine Village?
There is no grocery store located directly at the Nordic or Alpine lodges.
We recommend purchasing groceries in Courtenay or Campbell River before arriving at the chalet.
Can I drive directly to the ski-in ski-out chalet?
During the winter season, high snow volumes require guests to park in designated lower mountain parking lots.
The chalet is approximately a five-minute walk from parking, and sleds are provided to help transport supplies.
Is WiFi available at The Roost Ski Chalet?
Yes. The chalet provides reliable WiFi throughout the building, and cell service is generally excellent.
Are there televisions in the chalet?
There are no televisions in the chalet. Instead, we offer a curated selection of board games
to encourage a relaxing and unplugged mountain experience.
When do Spring and Summer rates begin at Mount Washington?
Spring and Summer rates begin after the conclusion of the ski season.
Winter rates apply during the ski season.
Do I need winter tires or chains when driving to Mount Washington?
Winter tires are strongly recommended. During severe snowstorms, chains may be mandatory.
Guests are advised to carry chains, a tarp, and a flashlight.
Designated chain-up areas are available along the access road.
Are there restaurants at Mount Washington Alpine Resort?
Yes. Several restaurants are located within Mount Washington Alpine Resort.
Please visit the resort’s official website for current dining options and hours.
Can I ski directly to and from the chalet?
Yes. The Roost is a true ski-in ski-out chalet, allowing guests to ski directly
to and from the property without hiking.
Do you provide recycling services at the chalet?
Yes. Recycling bins are provided, and recycling is collected on a regular basis.
